The Deposit Guarantee Fund of Ukraine and the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at providing a favorable environment for the development of credit unions, the Fund’s press service reports.
“On February 2, the Deposit Guarantee Fund and the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the USAID Mission’s “Credit for Agriculture Producers” (CAP) Project in Ukraine,” reads the report.
On behalf of the Fund, the memorandum was signed by Managing Director Svitlana Rekrut and on behalf of the World Council of Credit Unions – CAP Project Director Ewa Sierzynska.
As part of the signed memorandum, the cooperation is aimed at providing a favorable environment for the development of credit unions and creating a deposit guarantee system for members of credit unions. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
