The state-run Ukroboronprom has transferred a repaired MiG-29 jet fighter to the Air Forces of Ukraine.
The aircraft was handled by Lviv’s State Aircraft Repair Plant, Ukroboronprom’s press service said.
It was considerably damaged in June amid a landing incident. During the repair work, specialists replaced damaged elements of the MiG-29 aircraft, repaired the airframe, painted and varnished its coating.
After the operability of all systems was checked and test flights were carried out, the repaired jet fighter returned to the site of its permanent deployment.
The MiG-29 is the main combat aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, capable of performing air defense missions and striking ground targets. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
