In July, consumer prices in Ukraine decreased by 0.6% MoM, according to data provided by the State Statistics Service.
Consumer prices in July against June decreased by 0.6%; against December 2019 increased by 1.4%; against July 2019 – by 2.4%. In total, in January-July, consumer prices increased by 2.4% YoY.
Core inflation in July was -0.1% compared to June and 1.4% compared to the beginning of the year.
Among consumer goods and services, fruit (+33.7%), water supply (+22.6%) and sewerage services (+19.9%) rose in price the most in July compared to July 2019.
The largest decline was recorded in the price of natural gas (-43%), fuel and oils (-21.5%) and vegetables (-13.9%) between July 2019 and July 2020. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
