Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii says Ukraine will resume international and domestic flights from June 15.
“Domestic flights may be relaunched even sooner. We are also working on this now,” he said.
The most popular tourist destinations, namely Turkey, Greece, Cyprus and Georgia, will be relaunched first.
Flights with Italy and Spain are definitely not to be resumed soon because of the situation with the epidemic there.
“We are reopening directions, taking into consideration two conditions. The first is whether countries reopen flights with us. The second is the epidemiological situation,” he said.
“We’ll give a more detailed update within a week,” he added.
According to him, the government is considering an option that tourists should undergo tests for the coronavirus at the airport.
“This is more convenient than 14-day observation. They will be able to go to the city in three or four hours after testing,” he said.
As reported, Ukraine entered the next stage of easing quarantine-related curbs from on June 1. In particular, transportation services were relaunched between the regions for all types of transport. In addition, gyms, fitness centers and swimming pools could also reopen subject to quarantine-related requirements. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
