In January-March, local budgets of Ivano-Frankivsk region received UAH 1.5 million in tourist tax revenues.
Compared with the relevant period last year, the growth in revenues made up 38%, Vitaliy Perederko, the head of the tourism department of the international cooperation, eurointegration, tourism and investments department at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration wrote on his Facebook page.
The city of Yaremche remained the leader in the tourism industry of the region, which received UAH 1,076.2 thousand of revenues. The Ivano-Frankivsk City Council and united territorial community got UAH 275.9 thousand of revenues.
According to the official, there was a traditionally decline in revenues in March. At the same time, the amount of tourist tax collected in March was 20% higher than in March 2019. He added that the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic would be noticeable in April. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
