In January-November the port of Ventspils handled 19.471 million tons of cargo, up by 4% YoY, the port authority reported.
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo fell by 2%, to 9.615 million tons, and general cargo – by 7%, to 2.307 million tons, while dry bulk cargo grew by 17%, to 7.549 million tons.
The port’s container throughput totaled 275 TEUs having plunged by 87%. Turnover of passengers grew by 6%, to 217,141. The number of ship calls totaled 1,410 units. (PortNews/Business World Magazine)
