Since the beginning of November, milk has risen in price by 3.38 soms, or by 10.1%, the National Statistical Committee of the republic provided such data.
The highest prices were registered in Jalal-Abad, Batken, Uzgen and Osh cities, where the cost of raw, not processed milk was 40 soms per liter. At the same time, the minimum prices for it were observed in Kara-Suu (25 soms per liter) and Pokrovka village (20 soms per liter).
“The largest increase in prices for non-pasteurized milk was recorded in Uzgen – by 33.3%, Jalal-Abad – by 25.8%, Balykchi – by 19.1% and Tokmak – by 17.8%. The main reason for the increase in milk prices is weather conditions,” the National Statistical Committee stressed. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
