In January-September UAH 199.6 billion was transferred to local budgets, up by UAH 32 billion YoY, according to the website of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.
In particular, the revenues of local budgets over the reporting period were almost three times higher than the figures recorded for the whole of 2014, when the legislative framework for financial decentralization was being developed.
The largest revenues to local budgets came by proceeds from personal income tax. Over the three quarters of the current year, local budgets were replenished by UAH 119.3 billion in personal income tax, up by UAH 21.2 billion.
Also, local budgets received UAH 25 billion in land fees (+UAH 4.5 billion), UAH 24.6 billion in single tax (+UAH 4.5 billion), and UAH 3.7 billion in real estate tax (+34.5%). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
