Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that there are no reasons for raising gas prices for the population this autumn.
“Naftogaz is pumping gas at current prices. These are the lowest prices, so they cannot be raised, since gas reserves in storages at the beginning of the heating season will be set at 20 billion cubic meters,” Groysman said.
According to him, this will be enough for Ukraine to pass through the heating season.
The prime minister has also stressed that he sees no objective grounds for raising the price of gas for the population and added he would do everything so that “monopolists follow the strategy of lowering prices – and in no case increase them”. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
