In Ukraine UAH 8 billion was invested in energy saving measures in the period from the end of 2014 to 2019, Chairman of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Serhiy Savchuk said at a press conference.
“From the end of 2014 to 2019, the warm loan program has allowed investing UAH 8 billion in the insulation of buildings. Of these funds, the government reimbursed UAH 2.5 billion,” he said.
At the same time, according to him, about UAH 1 billion has been attracted for energy efficient measures since the start of the current year.
“In addition, 1,020 apartment building co-owner associations attracted investments totaling more than UAH 332 million. The demand for insulation is growing rapidly among such associations. Only in 2018, loans for 1,604 apartment building co-owner associations were attracted, while as of July 1, there are already 1,020 apartment building co-owner associations,” Savchuk added.
