In May the average nominal salary amounted to UAH 10,239, which was 2.5 times higher than the minimum wage, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
“The salary grew by almost 17.4% YoY,” the ministry wrote on its Facebook page.
The ministry also noted that the highest average monthly salaries were recorded in the financial and insurance sector – UAH 18,888, in the pharmaceutical manufacturing – UAH 18,888, the information and telecommunications sector – UAH 17,120, and in the extractive industry – UAH 15,408.
In the regional context, the largest salaries were recorded in the city of Kyiv – UAH 15,157, Donetsk region – UAH 11,391, Kyiv region – UAH 10,776 and Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 10,568. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
