Ukrainian producers in 2018 boosted exports of eggs in shell by 21.3%, to almost 107,500 tons, while shell egg exports in monetary terms increased by 37.1%, to $94.1 million.
Imports of eggs in shell in 2018 decreased by 40% in physical terms and by 32% in monetary terms, to 3,400 tons and $13.1 million, respectively, according to customs statistics, published by Ukraine’s State Fiscal Service (SFS).
At the same time, exports of eggs not in shell in 2018 increased 2.2-fold, to 7,800 tons. Exports of such produce in monetary terms grew 2.5-fold, to $25.3 million.
Imports of eggs not in shell in 2018 decreased to 31 tons worth $163,000, against 99 tons worth $551,000 in 2017. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
