As a result of January-August the state debt of Kyrgyzstan reached $697.6 per capita. Over a month, the debt burden decreased by $8.1.
According to the Ministry of Finance, as of August 31, the total volume of the state debt amounted to $4,395.02 billion (303,361.23 billion soms), including $3,797.38 billion (262,110.05 billion soms) – external, and $597.64 million (41,251.19 billion soms) – internal debt.
In the month, the state debt of Kyrgyzstan decreased by $20.24 million. Kyrgyzstan owes the most to the Export-Import Bank of China – $1,700.51 billion. Over the month, the indicator remained unchanged.
In August the national debt of the country amounted to 56.4% of GDP.
As of August 1, at least 6.3 million people lived in Kyrgyzstan. The average salary is 15,793 soms. As a result, in order to repay the state debt, every Kyrgyz citizen must give 3.04 of their salaries. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
