About EUR 880 million of investments have been attracted in the development of new renewable energy capacities in Ukraine since 2015, Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine Serhiy Savchuk stated in his speech at the conference “Eco-Innovation and Green Entrepreneurship: Made in Ukraine”.
“In general, about EUR 880 million of investments have been attracted in nearly 1,000 MW of new renewable energy capacities since the beginning of 2015,” reads the report.
In addition, EUR 460 million was invested in alternative heat energy projects with an installed capacity of 2,000 MW.
It is also noted that about 500 MW of renewable energy capacities were installed over the first nine months of the current year, which is almost two times more than in 2017. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
