Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that the draft state budget for 2019 envisages the priorities and development programs that are already being implemented in the country, the government’s portal reports.
“These are reconstruction of roads, assistance to farmers, and our initiatives in the healthcare sector, energy efficiency, etc. It’s a balanced budget that will give growth to the country,” Groysman said.
He recalled that the government expected economic growth next year to reach 3% and inflation to be at the level not less than 8%.
“The only issue that worries us is the issue of debt. It is a huge test. And together with international partners, we are looking for a soft solution,” the prime minister said.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, among other things, the draft state budget for 2019 envisages over UAH 209 billion on security and defense, UAH 242.1 billion on education, UAH 56 billion on the construction and reconstruction of roads. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
