The prices of meat products in Kazakhstan increased in August compared to the previous month.
Thus, horsemeat has risen in price by 2% MoM, the chicken legs – by 3%, and frozen fish – by 1%.
At the same time, the prices of vegetables have showed a decline in the reporting period.
In August the prices of fresh tomatoes decreased by 17.3%, and of cucumbers – by 12.9%.
In addition, the potatoes have dropped in price by 8%, garlic – by 7.5%, onions – by 4.7% and cabbage – by 1.8%.
Only the price of beets has increased significantly – by 2.4%.
Among fruit, the prices of apples have fallen by 1.5%, and the prices of non-seasonal citrus fruit have risen by 1.7% for lemons and by 3.7% for oranges.
There have been practically no price jumps in the segment of flour products and cereals. Only the prices of millet (+1.1%) and rice (+2.6%) have changed by more than 1%.
Yeast (+1.4%) and mayonnaise (+1.5%) have slightly risen in price. (AzerNews/Business World Magazine)
