A pilot batch of the unguided 80 mm aircraft missile Oskol has been tested in Ukraine.
“The RS-80 Oskol missile is our own product, completely developed and manufactured in Ukraine, including all its components,” Ukrainian Military TV’s Oleksandr Shtupun wrote on Facebook.
The brigade of Chernihiv-based State Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Arms and Military Equipment conducted live fire tests, employing a Mi-8 type helicopter.
Nearly 300 RS-80 Oskol missiles have been tested.
The three-day testing confirmed major tactical and technical characteristics of the aircraft missiles and possibility of their use on Mi-8 helicopters. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
