Bishkek and Tashkent agreed to continue the summer supply of electricity from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, Electric Stations JSC reported.
According to its data, from June 8 until the end of August, Kyrgyzstan will sell electricity to its neighbors. It is planned to export 500 million kilowatt-hours at a price of 2 cents per kilowatt. Daily supply volumes will be adjusted based on the technical capabilities of the parties and the inflow of water into Toktogul reservoir.
“As of today, the planned water volume in Toktogul reservoir for 2018 allows to export electricity. In summer of 2017 Kyrgyzstan supplied to Uzbekistan 1,142 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity,” Electric Stations reported. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
