Hungary’s low-cost airline Wizz Air has opened new flights from Lviv to London Luton Airport, the press service of Lviv Regional State Administration reported.
“In 2008-2009 Wizz Air operated flights to London. But as the passenger traffic was very low, this route was canceled. But the current figures show that this direction has very good prospects. Today, in fact, the passengers traffic is loaded almost 100% – 173 passengers out of 180 seats on arrivals, the same as on departures – 179 passengers,” Director General of Lviv International Airport Tetiana Romanovska said.
Flights from Lviv to London will be performed three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The cost of flight starts from UAH 659.
Apart from London, Wizz Air performs flights from Lviv to Wroclaw, Berlin, Gdansk, Katowice, and Dortmund.
In May Wizz Air will operate 15 flights a week from Lviv, and from June there will be 19 flights a week. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
