A Belarusian parliamentary delegation headed by Valery Voronetsky, Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, met with Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Volkan Bozkir in Ankara, the press service of the House of Representatives reported.
Volkan Bozkir remarked that Turkey sought to strengthen relations with Belarus.
“Having noted that the current bilateral trade stood at $605 million, the Turkish MP sated that Turkey would like to increase it to $1 billion,” the press service informed.
For his part, Valery Voronetsky pointed out that Turkey was a reliable partner for Belarus. He added that the development of all-round relations with Turkey was very important for Belarus.
During the visit to Ankara the Belarusian parliamentary delegation met with Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Ismail Kahraman.
“The parties expressed satisfaction with the constructive nature of the Belarusian-Turkish relations and stressed the need to build up the all-round mutual cooperation,” stated the press service. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
