The management of the BelGee factory is intent on enabling conditions for the future development of the enterprise, Belarusian First Deputy Industry Minister Gennady Svidersky said, who is the acting director general of the enterprise now.
The executive said: “Making cars, which can compete on the global market, is the key task for us. If we have such cars, we will definitely get our share of the market. It doesn’t matter how small our sales are. It is much more important to enable conditions for future development, to lay the groundwork to leap forward. We are not going to beat the competition with lower prices. It is more important for us to compete in the value we offer to consumers. It is the company’s philosophy.”
Gennady Svidersky reminded that the factory’s ability to make 60,000 vehicles per annum was officially confirmed in November 2017.
“It is now necessary to create development structure. Today Belarus is known for its haul trucks and regular trucks. We would like the car segment to be visible and competitively represented by our company BelGee,” stressed the first deputy industry minister. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
