Ukraine has a huge potential to attract alternative energy sources but still does not use it, Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko stated at the ninth international business forum Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Industry Modernization in Kyiv on November 23.
“Solar energy, wind power, energy production from domestic waste is a huge potential for the energy industrial complex, which is not being used,” Zubko said.
He noted that the laws on the gas market and electricity market offered new opportunities to use alternative sources, but much work still needed to be done.
“I would also like to say that Ukraine has the highest tariff for green energy, which allows us to attract investments,” Zubko said. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
