According to the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy, in the first month of the 2017-2018 MY the production of vegetable oils in the country totaled 25.6 thousand tons, down by 4% YoY, but up by 7% compared with the average monthly value for September during five recent seasons.
Thus, in September the production volumes of refined and crude sunflower oil decreased by 13% compared with the same month last year, and totaled 19 thousand tons. The production of flaxseed oil decreased by 4%, to 927 tons, against 969 tons in September 2016.
In addition, Kazakhstan decreased the production of rapeseed and safflower oils by 45% and 96%, to 481 tons and 26 tons, respectively. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
