In the first eight months of 2017, a total of 102.259 million liters of alcoholic drinks were exported from Latvia, up by 54.14% YoY.
89.2% of this volume was exported mostly to Russia. 10.8% was exported to European Union member states, according to excise tax circulation indexes compiled by Latvian State Revenue Service.
Exports of alcoholic drinks from Latvia grew by 64.11% in the first eight months of 2017. 91.9 million liters of alcohol were exported from Latvia in the first eight months of 2017, as opposed to 55.57 million liters in 2016.
11.07 million liters of alcoholic drinks were exported to EU member states, up by 2.74% YoY, when 10.77 million liters were exported.
Aside from beer, 29.91 million liters of alcoholic drinks were produced in Latvia in the first eight months of 2017. Compared with the first seven months of 2016, 0.76% less alcoholic drinks were produced this year. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
