In January-August water transport of Ukraine carried 3.6 million tons of cargo, down by 11.4% YoY, says State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
Cargo turnover grew by 11.6%, to 2,875.9 million t-km.
All types of transport carried 414.1 million tons (+3.6%).
At the same time water transport carried 0.4 million passengers (+40.2%).
According to State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, total passenger turnover in Ukraine climbed by 0.5%, to 3.054.4 million passengers. (PortNews/Business World Magazine)
