Industrial prices in Ukraine in July decreased by 0.6%, while in June they fell by 0.6%, in May by 1.3% and increased in April by 1.6% and in March by 3.5%, the State Statistics Service has said.
Industrial prices growth in July to July 2016 slowed to 23.3% from 26.3% in June, 27.1% in May, and 35.6% in April.
In January-July, industrial prices grew by 8%.
Prices in mining and quarrying in July fell by 0.2%, including a decline of 1.3% in production of metallic ores. Price grew in production of stone, sand and clay by 1.7% and natural gas by 0.5%.
Prices in processing industry rose by 0.2%. Prices in production of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers grew by 8%, petroleum products by 7.4%, electrical equipment by 0.8%, key pharmaceutical products and medicines and other non-metallic mineral products by 0.7%. Prices in metal production fell by 2.1% and chemicals by 1.5%.
Prices in production of food, beverages and tobacco grew by 1.1%. Prices in production of meat and meat products rose by 3.7%, tobacco by 2.9%, canned fruit and vegetable and pet food by 1.8%. Prices fell in production of fat and butter by 0.3%.
Prices grew by 7% in supplies of electricity, gas and conditioned air due to a rise in prices in electricity generation by 7.7%.
As reported, industrial prices in Ukraine in 2016 increased by 35.7%, while in 2015 by 25.4%, in 2014 by 31.7%.
Inflation in Ukraine in 2016 slowed to 12.4% from 43.3% in 2015 and 24.9% in 2014. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
