Within four years, a number of Ukrainians traveling by plane should grow to 20 million per year, Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelian said.
“Our strategy envisages that within four years the number of air passengers will increase from 8 to 20 million people per year,” the minister said.
According to him, now 4-5% out of 43 million Ukrainians travel by plane. According to expectations, this percentage should grow to 15-20%.
“I think that the government measures to reduce airport charges will provide attractive prices for air tickets, which will lead to an increase in air passengers among Ukrainians,” the official said. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
