Belarus, Sudan and Egypt are considering the possibility of using mechanisms of non-monetary discharge of foreign trade obligations in mutual trade, the State Property Committee reported.
Representatives of the National Bank of Belarus, Belarusbank, and GO Belresursy held talks in Khartoum and Cairo. The parties agreed that non-monetary discharge of obligations in the export of Belarusian products and services to Sudan and Egypt would be performed including through the supply of goods from these countries in exchange for Belarusian products.
The Belarusian head of state gave instructions to consider such mechanisms after his visit to Sudan in January. GO Belresursy will act as the Belarusian operator of deliveries to Sudan. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
