Saudi Arabia will award a $200 million grant to Tajikistan for construction of parliamentary and governmental complexes in Dushanbe, a source in the Tajik government reported.
A new parliamentary complex will be built in the place where the Ministry of Agriculture, Dushanbe Mayor’s Office, Iranian Embassy and a number of residential and administrative buildings are located up to crossing of the Roudaki Avenue and the Shotemour Street (“Tajikistan” Hotel area).
“In accordance with a new decision, the building of the Majlisi Oli (Tajikistan’s parliament) that was constructed in 1946 will not be demolished,” the source noted.
Meanwhile, a new governmental complex is expected to be built in the place where “Rohat” Teahouse is located. (News.tj/Business World Magazine)
