In January-February seaports of Ukraine handled 19.842 million tons of cargo, which was flat YoY, press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported.
Transshipment of export cargo totaled 15.627 million tons (up by 4.8%), imports – 2.846 million tons (-4.4%), transit – 1.291 million tons (-32.5%), inland traffic – 77,200 tons (+58.3%).
Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 100,484 TEUs (+14.7% YoY).
State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 3.925 million tons (19.8% of total volume). Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled 15.917 million tons (80.2% of total volume) including 8.495 million tons handled via USPA berths (42.8% of total volume).
