Ukraine’s Energy and Coal Industry Ministry hopes that the share of nuclear power plants (NPPs) in the total power generation in March will be 56.1% or 7.9 billion kWh.
The figure is outlined in the forecast balance of electricity for March approved by the ministry on February 17.
Earlier it was planned (according to the annual balance) that NPPs next month would generate 7.6 billion of kWh of electricity.
Plans for thermal power plants were revised downwards – from 3.592 billion kWh to 3.212 billion kWh (22.8% of total generation).
Hydroelectric power plants would generate 1.062 billion kWh of electricity (7.5%), while earlier 916 million kWh was planned. Combined heat and power plants would generate 1.383 billion of kWh of electricity (10.5%), isolated generating plants – 129 million kWh and unconventional energy facilities – 155 million kWh.
