Uzbekistan Airways served 2.471 million passengers in 2016, down by 4% YoY, says a message on the air company’s website.
In 2016 the company carried out 22,387 flights, down by 3.8% YoY.
The volume of the air company’s cargo transportations amounted to 43,800 tons in 2016, up by 4.8 YoY.
Uzbekistan Airways is a monopoly carrier in Uzbekistan and is wholly owned by the state. It carries out flights to more than 20 cities in the US, Europe, Middle East, Asia, 22 cities of the CIS member countries, as well as 11 destinations on local airlines. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
