Lenders in Estonia are continuing to build a common positive credit rating register to enable banks and creditors assess the ability of upcoming clients to repay their debts.
“Things are currently in the programming phase”, Alar Jager, development director at AS Creditinfo explained. “This is a project with an open deadline, so to speak, because everybody’s doing it for the first time”.
In cooperation with 13 other firms, Creditinfo founded the positive credit reporting registry in August.
Other founders of the register are banks: AS LHV Pank, Bigbank AS, TF Bank AB and AS Inbank, and registered creditors AS LHV Finance, Bondora AS, BB Finance OU, Creditstar Group AS, Hupoteeklaen OU, IPF Digital Estonia OU, Placet Group OU and OU Koduliising. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
