According to the official customs statistics, in October-November Ukraine exported 36.7 thousand tons of malting barley (12.4 thousand tons and 24.3 thousand tons respectively), which significantly exceeded the general figures for six previous seasons (29 thousand tons).
At the same time, Poland purchased nearly half of the exported volumes, while Romania and Belarus imported nearly 23-25% each.
During the first 5 months of 2016/2017 MY (July-November) Ukraine supplied 40.8 thousand tons of malting barley to foreign markets (1% of the general export volumes of Ukrainian barley), against 6.5 thousand tons in the whole previous season. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
