The Belarusian national electrical company Belenergo and the Czech-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum of understanding in Prague, the website of the Belarusian Energy Ministry reported.
The memorandum provides for enabling conditions conducive to the development of foreign economic contacts, establishment, maintenance and development of business ties and contacts between Belenergo’s enterprises and Czech companies. The document is also supposed to encourage foreign investments into the implementation of power engineering projects in Belarus. The sides agreed to provide information assistance with establishing business ties and with mastering new forms of trade and economic cooperation. The Czech-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry intends to consult Belarusian power engineering companies about business operation in the Czech Republic. Belenergo specialists intend to provide consultative and expert support to Czech partners.
The memorandum of understanding was signed during the 14th session of the Czech-Belarusian working group on cooperation in power engineering. The Belarusian delegation was led by Director General of the state industrial group Beltopgaz Leonid Rudinsky. Belenergo Director General Yevgeny Voronov, representatives of government agencies and commercial entities of Belarus and Czechia also took part in the event. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
