The trade turnover between Ukraine and the EU increased by 6% YoY in January-September 2016 as a result of the Free Trade Area Agreement, which came into effect on January 1, 2016. This is reported by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine on its Facebook page.
“The European Union is Ukraine’s main trading partner, accounting for 41% of our foreign trade in goods. This is a positive result of the Free Trade Area Agreement. The trade turnover between Ukraine and the EU has increased by 6% for the nine months of this year, while our exports have increased by 4.4%”, the statement reads. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
