As of November 21, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 60.151 million tons of grains throughout the areas of 13.396 million ha, or 94% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.49 ton/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 59.06 million tons.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 21.029 million tons of the grain throughout 3.367 million ha (79%). The average yield reached 6.25 ton/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 191 thousand tons of buckwheat throughout 149 thousand ha (99.8%). The average yield totaled 1.28 ton/ha.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 13.284 million tons of sunflower seed throughout 5.84 million ha (99%), with the average yield of 2.27 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 4.01 million tons of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.748 million ha (95%), with the average yield of 2.29 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of November 21, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 6.939 million ha (94% of the plan), up 298 thousand ha compared with the same date last year.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 5.901 million ha (95%), winter rye – 158 thousand ha (107%), and winter barley – 879 thousand ha (86%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 844 thousand ha (117%). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
