In January-September Kazakhstan exported 5.2 million tons of grains including flour in grain equivalent, the expert of the department of plant growing products growing and processing at the Ministry of Agriculture Sagintay Zhumazhanov declared.
In 2015 Kazakhstan supplied 7 million tons of grains and flour to foreign countries. The list of traditional importers of Kazakh grains still includes the countries of Central Asia: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, as well as Afghanistan, Iran and Azerbaijan. In addition, Kazakhstan will export grain and its by-products to the Chinese market, the EU markets, the Middle East and North Africa, Zhumazhanov said.
According to him, in 2015 Kazakhstan imported 129.3 thousand tons of grains, up 71.9 thousand tons compared with 2014, including 59.7 thousand tons of wheat, 23.7 thousand tons of barley, 22.6 thousand tons of corn, and 22.4 thousand tons of rice.
Azerbaijan, Turkey, Ukraine, Vietnam, India and China mainly supplied grains to Kazakhstan. The share of imports in the ratio to exports totaled 0.3%, the expert added. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
