The construction of a waste recycling and separation plant in Grodno with a rated capacity of 120,000 tons per year has been completed, an official at Grodno region administration reported.
The completion act was signed on October 26; warrantee tests of waste recycling equipment will start on November 21, and will last for two months.
China Machinery Engineering Corporation was the general contractor of the project to build Grodno’s waste separation plant.
The total value of the project is estimated at $28.7 million. The project was financed at the expense of the World Bank. The site is located 17 km away from Grodno near a landfill. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
