In September soybean exports from Ukraine equaled 65.8 KMT compared with 32.4 KMT in the previous month and 67.5 KMT in September 2015.
Traditionally in the first month of the new season the volumes exported were minimal. This is associated with its low availability on domestic market, due to the fact that massive harvesting begins only in September.
Large volumes of Ukrainian soybean were shipped to EU countries (41%) in the new 2016/2017 season. Apart from this, Turkey confirms its status of the main soybean importer, accounting for 38% of Ukrainian soybean exports. Lebanon also shows stability with 11% share compared to 8% in 2015/2016 MY.
