As of October 1, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 14.594 million tons (up by nearly 10 million tons MoM), the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported. In particular, peasant and farming households stored 2.899 million tons of grains.
Wheat formed the major share of the general grain stocks – 11.7 million tons, including 10.4 million tons of milling wheat, 596.5 thousand tons of feed wheat and 724.6 thousand tons of wheat for seeds.
Also, corn stocks totaled 60.3 thousand tons, rice – 234.5 thousand tons, barley – 1.9 million tons, rye – 40.5 thousand tons, oats – 197.5 thousand tons, buckwheat – 38.2 thousand tons, millet – 21.3 thousand tons, and mixture of spiked grain crops – 86.9 thousand tons.
