In January-September Russian seaports handled 531.7 million tons of cargo (up by 5.7% YoY), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 248.7 million tons (+7.8%) including 101.9 million tons of coal (+12.0%), 31.4 million tons of containerized cargo (+4.8%), 24.3 million tons of grain (+2.1%), 21.5 million tons of ferrous metal (+8.5%), 17.1 million tons of cargo carried by ferries (+3.6%), 6.5 million tons of ore (+30.6%), 4.1 million tons of timber (+2.5%), and 3.9 million tons of ro-ro cargo (up 1.8 times).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo increased by 3.9% to 283.0 million tons including 162.9 million tons of crude oil (+8.5%), 9.7 million tons of liquefied gas (+3.5%) and 107.8 million tons of oil products (-2.4%).
Transshipment of export cargo totaled 420.4 (+5.2%), import cargo – 23.4 million tons (-6.1%), transit – 36.3 million tons (+0.5%), coastal trade cargo – 51.6 million tons (+21.4%).
Operators of the Arctic Basin terminals handled 34.8 million tons (up by 31.8% YoY) including 19.8 million tons of dry cargo (+8.5%) and 15 million tons of liquid bulk cargo (up 1.8 times). The port of Murmansk handled 23.1 million tons (+42.2%), Varandei – 6 million tons (+22.1%), Arkhangelsk – 2.1 million tons (-28.4%), Kandalaksha – 0.5 million tons (-21.5%).
The ports of the Baltic Basin handled 174.9 million tons (+1.9%) including 66 million tons of dry cargo (+0.9%) and 108.9 million tons of liquid bulk cargo (+2.6%). The port of Ust-Luga handled 68.5 million tons of cargo (+5.3%), Primorsk – 48.3 million tons (+10.5%), Big Port St. Petersburg – 35.9 million tons (-7.7%), Vysotsk – 12.5 million tons (-5.2%), Kaliningrad – 8.7 million tons (-8.9%).
Throughput of Azov – Black Sea ports climbed to 179.7 million tons (+3.9%) including 77.5 million tons of dry cargo (+8.7%) and 102.2 million tons of liquid bulk cargo (+0.6%). The port of Novorossiysk handled 96.7 million tons (+2.1%), Kavkaz – 24.5 million tons (+3.1%), Taman – 9.5 million tons (+9.2%), Rostov-on-Don – 9.7 million tons (+21.7%), Kerch – 7.1 million tons (+31.6%), Yeisk – 3 million tons (+8.3%), Temryuk – 2.2 million tons (+19.2%), Tuapse – 18.7 million tons (-1.5%), Azov – 4.8 million tons (-2.7%), Taganrog – 1.7 million tons (-22.6%).
The ports of the Caspian Basin handled 4.3 million tons (-15.9%) including 2.1 million tons of dry cargo (-9.3%) and 2.2 million tons of liquid bulk cargo (-11.5%). The port of Makhachkala handled 2.4 million tons (-19.4%). Transport of port Astrakhan fell by 9.3% to 1.8 million tons, port Olya – by 29.6%.
The ports of Far East Basin handled 137.9 million tons (+8.5%) including 83.2 million tons of dry cargo (+13.7%) and 54.7 million tons of liquid bulk cargo (+1.5%). Port Vostochny handled 51 million tons (+4.5%), Vanino – 22.7 million tons (+13.8%), Nakhodka – 17.4 million tons (+10.2%), Vladivostok – 10.5 million tons (+10.5%), De-Castri – 8.5 million tons (+13.1%), Posiet – 6.0 million tons (+26.8%), Prigorodnoye – 11.6 million tons (-0.8%).
Association of Commercial Sea Ports (ASOP) set up in 1987 unites over 50 organizations and enterprises of Russia’s maritime transport.
