As of September 29, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the general areas of 42.4 million ha (on the same date in 2015 – 38.8 million ha), or 89.8% of the planned areas (47.3 million ha). The produced volumes reached 110.7 million tons of grains, with the average yield of 2.61 ton/ha (in 2015 – 94.1 million tons with the yield of 2.42 ton/ha), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 26.6 million ha (96.1% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 74.7 million tons, with the yield of 2.81 ton/ha.
Russia harvested 18.7 million tons of winter and spring barley throughout 8 million ha (95.6%). The average yield totaled 2.34 ton/ha.
Agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 620.6 thousand ha (21.5%), and produced 3.2 million tons, with the average yield at 5.23 ton/ha.
Russia harvested 291.2 thousand tons of rice throughout 46.4 thousand ha (22.5%). The average yield totaled 6.28 ton/ha.
Russian agrarians continued the sunflower seed harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested 3.1 million tons of the oilseed throughout 1.6 million ha (21.9%). The average yield totaled 1.87 ton/ha.
Also, Russia harvested rapeseed throughout 749.5 thousand ha (75.3%) and produced 938.9 thousand tons with the average yield of 1.25 ton/ha.
Agrarians started harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached 568.3 thousand ha (26%), the produced volumes – 1.1 million tons, the average yield – 1.95 ton/ha.
Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 42.1 thousand ha only, or 87.3% of the planted areas.
As of September 29, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 11.2 million ha, or 64.5% of the planned areas (in 2015 – 11.4 million ha). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
