Federal Freight, a unit of Russian Railways, plans to lease around 16,000 rail cars from VEB-Leasing for five years to substitute its written-off fleet.
The deal will become part of a big cooperation agreement between Vnesheconombank (VEB) and Russian Railways, which is planned for signing, and in the future, the sides will develop cooperation in leasing.
Federal Freight has written off 15,800 rail cars with an expired lifespan since the beginning of 2016 and plans to write off another 4,000 units by the end of the year. (Prime/Business World Magazine)
