The Turkish business shows interest in expanding its presence in the Belarusian market, Chairman of the Turkish-Belarusian Business Cooperation Council Sefa Gomdeniz said at the investment forum in Minsk on September 29.
Turkish companies are ready to offer Belarus new big investment projects. Possibilities of cooperation expansion are being discussed at the governmental level, the head of the council stressed.
“Turkish companies are interested in investing in woodworking, chemical and metalworking sectors of Belarus. Turkey has been rapidly developing its automobile sector, including the production of auto parts. These companies are ready to invest in Belarus”, he said.
The possibility of implementing Turkish projects in the free economic zones of Belarus is being considered as well.
“We are looking into specific steps, with the Belarusian government running the relevant study. Once it is over in 2017, I am confident that more Turkish companies will be present on the Belarusian market”, he added.
Today the Turkish business is presented in Belarus in the following sectors: mobile communications, construction, travel industry, textile industry and healthcare. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
