In the current year, the general grain harvest in Russia will reach nearly 115 million tons in clean weight, the President of the Russian Grain Union Arkady Zlochevsky declared.
At the same time, the previous forecast varied within the range of 114-118 million tons. Taking into account the harvest volumes at the level of 124 million tons and loss allowance, the real harvest will reach somewhat in the middle of the reporting range – 115 million tons, he said.
In particular, wheat will form nearly 72.5 million tons of the general grain harvest, which will break all previous records.
Thus, in 2016/2017 MY Russia will have to increase the grain exports by nearly 5 million tons compared with the previous season, to nearly 30 million tons. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
