In August Ukraine exported 85 KMT of sunflower meal against 256 KMT in July 2016 and 102 KMT in August 2015. Thus, total volume exported in 2015/2016 MY (September-August) equals 3655.4 KMT against 3364.1 KMT in the previous season.
In 2015/2016 Ukraine considerably diversified its sunflower meal export market, delivering it to 16 countries. Moreover, top importers strengthened their positions, increasing their shares in total Ukrainian sunflower meal exports: EU countries – to 55%, Belarus – to 16%, Turkey – to 11%.
In the new 2016/2017 MY Ukraine has all the chances to increase exports up to 4400 KMT as well as to continue diversification of sunflower meal export markets. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
