As of September 26, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the general areas of 41.6 million ha (on the same date in 2015 – 36.9 million ha), or 88.1% of the planned areas (47.3 million ha). The produced volumes reached 109.2 million tons of grains, with the average yield of 2.62 ton/ha (in 2015 – 90.2 million tons with the yield of 2.44 ton/ha), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 26.1 million ha (94.2% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 73.9 million tons, with the yield of 2.83 ton/ha.
Russia harvested 18.6 million tons of winter and spring barley throughout 7.9 million ha (94.8%). The average yield totaled 2.35 ton/ha.
Agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 570.8 thousand ha (19.7%), and produced 3 million tons of the grain, with the average yield at 5.23 ton/ha.
Russia harvested 290.3 thousand tons of rice throughout 46.3 thousand ha (22.4%). The average yield totaled 6.28 ton/ha.
Russian agrarians continued the sunflower seed harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested 2.7 million tons of the oilseed throughout 1.4 million ha (18.5%). The average yield totaled 1.96 ton/ha.
Also, Russia harvested rapeseed throughout 683.4 thousand ha (68.7%), and produced 867.4 thousand tons of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.27 ton/ha.
Agrarians started harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached 540.3 thousand ha (24.7%), the produced volumes – 1.05 million tons, the average yield – 1.95 ton/ha.
Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 40.6 thousand ha only, or 84.3% of the planted areas.
As of September 26, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 10.8 million ha, or 62% of the planned areas (in 2015 – 10.1 million ha). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
