Russian national flag carrier Aeroflot is not considering the possibility of selling its stake in affiliate Rossiya Airlines, a representative of Aeroflot reported.
Earlier mass media reported citing three federal officials that Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich had ordered the Transport Ministry to prepare suggestions for a sale of Rossiya Airlines by Aeroflot.
“The issue of Aeroflot selling a part of its stake in Rossiya Airlines is not on the agenda. The strategy of Aeroflot Group is to establish a national aviation holding, and Rossiya is its part. The strategy was approved by the Russian government”, the representative said.
Aeroflot owns 75% minus one share in the affiliate, while the rest is owned by the government of St. Petersburg. (Prime/Business World Magazine)
