According to the official statistics figures, in 2015/2016 MY (September-August) Russia exported 447.5 thousand tons of flaxseed, up by 38% YoY (323.5 thousand tons), which become a new annual record.
Last season, Belgium became the largest importer of Russian flaxseed – 45% of the oilseed supplies (48% in the previous season), followed by Turkey (20%; 18%) and Latvia (16%; 10%). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
